You are the eyes and ears of Bryan/College Station. We need your expertise - drop a pin on the map to tell us where you have safety concerns within in the study area.

To get started...

  1. Zoom in to the location that you'd like to tell us about
  2. At the top of the page, click the blue "Add Comment" button and identify the category that most applies to your comment. If your comment fits multiple categories, just select one
  3. Move the map so that the icon is located on your desired location and click "Place Marker Here"
  4. Leave your comment and zipcode (and a photo, if you'd like!) and click "Add Comment"
  5. For the "High Crash Location/Segment" category, you can also draw a line segment. Double click at the end of your line to end the drawing

Categories - and examples - include:

  • Automobile safety - indicate high-accident locations or those you think could benefit from safety improvements (turn lanes, medians, etc).
  • Bike safety - indicate missing bike lane, difficult intersection, uncomfortable biking location, wider bicycle facility needed, etc.
  • Pedestrian safety - indicate new crosswalk needed / restriping of existing needed, missing curb ramps / tactile paving needed, pedestrian / audio assisted push buttons, general crossing facilities, pedestrian refuges, etc.
  • Transit safety - indicate needed bus refuge, lighting, missing sidewalks to connect to transit stop, insufficient buffer from cars, etc.
  • Truck/freight safety - indicate locations where there are safety issues specific to trucks and other freight vehicles
  • High crash location/segment - indicate where there are locations that experience especially high numbers of crashes; you can draw a line for this option, as well
  • Lighting - indicate areas that should have better lighting
  • Other comments - anything else?

This is the first step in a year-long planning process. We want to better understand the study area in order to make recommendations later on in the process - your feedback is essential!
