Alvin Livable Centers Study

You are the eyes and ears of the City of Alvin. We need your expertise - drop a pin on the map to tell us what's working, what needs some improvement, or anything else you'd like to tell us about transportation in the study area.

To get started...

  1. Zoom in to the location that you'd like to tell us about
  2. In the top toolbar, identify the category that most applies to your comment
  3. Drag and drop the icon to the location
  4. For bike and pedestrian facilities, it will prompt you to draw a route. Double click when you are finished drawing a route. If you do not wish to draw a route, simply double click on the icon
  5. Leave your comment and zipcode (and a photo, if you'd like!) and click "Add Comment"!

Categories - and examples - include:

  • Bike facilities - bike lanes, shared use paths, buffers, signage, etc. If you bike a specific route, feel free to draw a line to show us where you'd like to see bike facilities.
  • Pedestrian facilities - sidewalks, repairs to sidewalks, trail connections, crosswalks, curb ramps, pedestrian push buttons, general crossing facilities, etc.
  • Lighting - do you believe this area can benefit from being more well lit for pedestrians or cars?
  • Traffic safety - indicate high-accident locations or those you think could benefit from safety improvements.
  • Sense of place - public art, gathering spaces, navigation signage to local attractions, welcome signs - anything that indicates that people are in the City of Alvin.
  • Other - anything else?

This is the first step in a year-long planning process. We want to better understand the study area in order to make recommendations later on in the process - your feedback is essential!
